Abstract

While bats are often viewed negatively by the public, they provide essential ecological and economic services that support both natural ecosystems and human agriculture. This paper explores the roles of bats as pollinators, seed dispersers, and natural pest controllers. The paper talks about multiple different species of bats like the fishing bat, vampire bat, ghost bat, and a longer study on pallid bats which includes a interview with the chief scientist of Bat Conservation International, Winifred Frick.
