This paper examines the economic impact of hurricanes on stock prices, focusing on construction and agriculture companies in the Southeast U.S. Using data from five major hurricanes, the research analyzes stock price fluctuations before, during, and after the events. The findings suggest that hurricanes cause significant short-term losses for businesses in the affected areas, with recovery varying by industry. This study highlights the financial vulnerability of businesses in hurricane-prone regions and provides insights into the broader economic effects of natural disasters.
